Summit of Korean-American Adventist Churches - May 18-21, 2011

The Time Is Now for the next generation of Korean American Adventists to step into an active leadership role in defining the future of the English-speaking Korean Adventist churches in America.  With the aging of the first generation and coming of age of the second generation, it is now time for us, the 1.5 generation who are now established in our families and careers, to turn our attention to planning for the future of our Church. It is now time to “rebuild the walls of Jerusalem” and determine what the future of English-speaking Korean churches will be.

To all those who are committed and concerned you are Called to a Summit of Leaders to come together to envision, pray, and plan for a coordinated effort to strengthen and build up our Church.

The Korean-American Seventh-day Adventist Pastors' Association is hosting a Korean-American Adventist Summit for Young Adults on May 18-21, 2011 in Riverside, CA.  All Pastors and Lay Leaders in Young Adult Ministry are invited to attend.  The  purpose of this summit is to come together to address current issues in the KoAm Adventist Church and to envision for the future.  By networking, sharing of information, resources and experiences, we hope this summit will allow us to develop models for various types of congregation.  We ask churches to support this summit by sending their pastor/lay leader to this event.  For more information, please contact Julianna Moon: kayamm@live.com.

I am happy to hear about this generation’s interest and the motivation to do this. ABC(my husband not yet Adventist) to relate to Korean way of evangelism is hard. I hope something like this can help him.
