Bold for the Truth

In Acts 26, Paul stands for truth no matter what.  He does not seek to fight for his life, but instead fights for truth that honors God.  Recognizing the opportunity to help spread the Way, Paul does not water down his testimony but boldly shares the supernatural and spiritual experiences he has personally had.  King Agrippa’s response to Paul’s story is, “You are out of your mind, Paul!” (v 24).  There have been many times when I did not want to share spiritual things or a spiritual element of an experience because I was afraid that the people listening would react similarly to King Agrippa.  However, Paul’s example challenges us to have courage enough to be spiritual in an unspiritual world.  We should not be ashamed of knowing and sharing our spiritual history, of how God has acted in our lives and how we have responded.  Many times, the telling of this personal spiritual journey is what will truly impact people to seek their own encounter with God.
