Christ, in Me Abide
In our revival, reformation, and transformation,
The key is personal growth and restoration.
From seed our faith needs divine inspiration,
Daily, You inspire our sanctification.
As with faith, our growth depends on You,
May our thoughts be rooted in Christ through and through.
As with seed, the branch needs the heavenly touch,
We need Thee, indeed very much.
The flower to the sun, its face will bend,
So to You, my heart, my thoughts should send.
Anxiety, care and effort can’t make the flower grow,
Sunshine, rain, and air You bestow.
As with flowers we are the same,
We need Thee as the rose needs the rain.
Our growth depends on time spent with Thee,
May our hours be spent on bended knee.
Moments spent with Thee can we only grow,
For Your will, only then can we know.
May with grace Your face behold,
Then we will have treasure better than gold.
In faith, there’s much give and take,
You take our anxiety, fear, and hate
But life, joy and peace You give,
Jesus, Our Savior, His life in us live.
You bid us in Jesus only abide,
All cares of this world will subside.
We are the branch in this tree of life,
You give rest from this world of strife.
From your love may we never sever,
We are Yours, now and forever.
May we with this news share with friend,
So they can have peace without an end.
So friend, with me pray,
To God our thoughts to say...
Take me Lord as wholly Yours
I lay my plans at your feet.
Use me today in Your service, may for You my heart only beat.
Let all my work on this earth be for thee
And let all thoughts of self from me flee.
May my will be wrought in thine
With Christ, the King, the living vine.
