From Leader to Baptized Member
When the summer started, I had no idea that I would be attending High School Kayamm. I found out about it through my cousin, Eugenia Han, who was also the coordinator at the time. The only word that I would use to describe my experience there would be irreplaceable. From Wednesday to Saturday, we held a VBS program for the kids that lived in Berrien Springs. My specific area I was told to plan for was the Crafts department. I am very glad that I was put into this department. After High School Kayamm ended, I became the co-coordinator of the Children’s Department at my church. After working in the crafts department at HS KAYAMM, I am able to think of creative ways to keep my kids engaged during the lesson and also to teach them about God’s love without being too off topic. Now that I have learned about leadership and also how to relate to others and work with them, I use the skills that I learned at HS KAYAMM every time I head to church. I plan to bring the children’s department at my church to the best it is able to be. After High School Kayamm, I also made the decision to become baptized. I was baptized this past summer and I am very proud to say that the KAYAMM program helped me make that decision.
