Dependent on God

My generation has to contain good leaders for the next generation. This is what I was taught at the first year of East Coast High School KAYAMM. We were taught to be leaders at home first, by being responsible in the household. We have to be able to lead in this way first before being able to lead abroad. The next step is to be leaders at the church and local community. The church is our family too, and we must be good and strong leaders. This means to be a good role-model others in the community can look up to. After accomplishing this, we can be leaders abroad for future generations by spreading the Good News and the joy of Jesus Christ.

However, we cannot be leaders by ourselves. We have to pray for God to work in us for His greater glory. We have to pray and work hard. As Ellen G. White once wrote, “Prayer is the breath of the soul.” One of the guest pastors said that she did not say prayer was like food or water, but breath, which is most essential. Prayer is very necessary in becoming good, strong leaders for Jesus.

It reads in Psalm 100:2, “Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing.” We can serve the LORD by being leaders for Him everyday with joy in our hearts.
