ALIVE in Kenya
ALIVE is growing and this December, they will be holding their first ever Leadership Summit in Kenya. Most of our leaders across Africa will be meeting in Nairobi to discuss the challenges and blessings of missionary group leadership, and to project plans for the future.
Our sister group in Ethiopia (ESELAY), in conjunction with the Filwoha Seventh-Day Adventist Church Youth Committee in Ethiopia, is working to reprint the Amharic versions of The Desire of Ages and the Great Controversy (Amharic is a local language widely used in Ethiopia), which they will use for distribution and canvassing with local churches.
In order to print 500 copies, the cost will be $2000. If 40 people each just $50, it can be done. It's so simple. We've been blessed with SUCH resources and all of EGW's books in English. This is the first of EGW's major books to be translated into Amharic, and young people are doing the work.
