ECKCM Day 1
Cradle Roll this year, is led out by Southern University student and Northern New York member, Jenny Kim. She has 6 leaders, most of them from Southern. For Sunday night, they had 10 little ones. They decorated their room with balloons and had a cereal and snack station set up. They expect twice as many to come tomorrow! Hannah Choi from Chicago Unity, is leading out VBS. She has 10 leaders. They built a medieval-inspired set from the “Kingdom Rock” Vacation Bible School, complete with castle, drawbridge, and canopy.
Juniors is led by Bomi Kim from Schaumburg, with 8 leaders. They met this year in the newly-built Buller Hall. For Sunday, they had a movie night. Christian Jeon from Nashville, is leading out the Earliteens, with 10 leaders. He recently came back from a year abroad in Argentina. He led his leadership early Sunday morning with calisthenics exercises, much to their dismay. Sunday night, they opened up with lively icebreakers.
Michele Ahn from Northern NY, is leading out the HS group, with 10 Leaders. They opened with icebreakers, and broke up into 10 small groups. The leadership held a staff meeting on Sunday night to practice Bible skits. Collegiate this year is led by Jessica Chung from Northern NY, with 7 leaders. This is her second year leading out. They met in the Whirlpool Room in Chan Shun. This year, Jessica assembled a praise band to perform for each meeting.
David Kang, from Indiana leads the Young Adults. He has 2 leaders from New York: David Koh from NY Central, and Anthony Son from Queens. Charlie Ahn, from Lombard, is leading out the English-speaking Adult group.
Outreach led by Joanna Huh. This year, they are doing a special outreach for the local Laos church in Holland, Michigan. They’re doing a canned food drive, and shooting videos for recent immigrants. Stephen Yoo from Georgia United, is leading the Security team, and he has a team of 8 walking the campus. Sung Yu and Hans Lee from Georgia United and Atlanta Central, respectively, is leading the Media and Promotions team. Boeun Kim from Denver Church, is leading the Design and Promotion team. She designed the vine-inspired logo, T-shirt, and wall mural for ECKCM this year.
