ECKCM Day 2

For the 1st full day of campmeeting, Cradle Roll started the day playing with plastic balls and blowing bubbles.  Many of the parents were able to join them during the evening.  Tony Kwon from Collegedale came in to play with his son, Aden.

In VBS, the kids made T-shirts, and had family group games outside.  In the evening, Alexis Rivera engaged them with her unique object-lesson style.

Juniors had a scavenger hunt.  They drank plenty of water while searching for items outside!  In the evening, their speaker, Richard Aguilera gave a presentation where the kids got to touch actual fossils like trilobites, plants, and Petoskey stones.

Earliteens had a gym day where they played kickball, Sharks and Minnows, and in the evening they listened to dynamic, humorous speaker Henry Johnson from South Carolina, a frequent speaker at GYC.  They finished by breaking out into discussion groups.

High Schoolers were outdoors, playing water games until it started to rain.  They improvised by playing games in the Burman Hall basement.  In the evening, they heard innovative speaker Ron Sydney use drama to convey his sermon, and then broke off into discussion groups.

Collegiate got even more intimate and close with team-building activities.  They also did some meditation and reflection, appropriate for the theme: “remain.”

Young Adults were supposed to go to the beach, but it was canceled due to rain.  In the evening, they listened to Andrews Seminary Homiletics Professor, Hyveth Williams, and an opportunity to fellowship after the program.
