The leaders from every group gathered for 7 a.m. devotion. Pastor Ron Park from Tampa gave an energetic message, and leaders prayed for requested prayers, as well as for better relationships with each other.

Cradle Roll had nap time and nature time in the afternoon. In the evening, they watched a video and had talent night practice.
VBS played water games outside, including water relays with buckets. They had a wet and wild time!

Juniors and Earliteens left in the afternoon to go to Lion’s beach. They loaded up in 3 new Andrews University school buses and drove out to the neighboring St. Joseph. Juniors played water games with buckets, water guns, and other toys. Earliteens had fun with a free swim, splashing each other. The counselors joined in on the carousing!

High School was involved with outreach all afternoon. Loaded up in 9 cars, the most outgoing high schoolers collected 35 bags of cans from the surrounding community, to donate to Southeast Asian refugee families recently immigrated to Holland, Michigan. They also wrote “thank-you” postcards to send back to donors. Another group of culinary-minded High Schoolers were hard at work in the kitchen baking for a bake sale. They made over 125 cupcakes, 100 cookies, 40 brownies, and 25 cupcakes! A third group of artistic High Schoolers painted signs for the local St. Joseph Adventist Church’s Vacation Bible School.

Collegiate prepared to film several useful informational videos for the Laos refugee community in Holland – one regarding their childrens’ education and another for financial advice.
