Hurricane Sandy relief

Hurricane Sandy made a devastating impact along the East Coast, and New York City was one of the many cities affected. But when the winds and rain dissipated, people rose up to the occasion and helped as they could. Members of the NYC SDA community quickly organized volunteers and supplies.
On Saturday, November 10, members of New York Central Korean SDA Church volunteered at Far Rockaway, one of the lower-income areas of Queens, New York.  Pastor Chris Choi, David Koh, Jeff D'Acosta, and Letisha Rahming, a visitor from Jackson Heights SDA Church, took clothing, blankets, and canned food to a distribution site near the Spanish SDA Church in Far Rockaway.
Pastor Chris and Jeff dropped off canned goods at a public library, and David and Letisha worked alongside people from other churches to distribute clothes, food, and supplies.  Next week, they'll be working with a team from Adventist Community Services to clean houses and remove cars stuck in the sand by the Rockaway Shore.
Please continue to pray for the victims and the volunteers.
