Our church is small, close knit, and friendly church. We do have very small youth group (currently 5 members including myself). Ages range from 13 to 18 years old, and we don't have a separate English ministry. Monterey Korean SDA church is very unique in that we are very close and there is no separation between Korean speaking and English speaking. The adults are very supportive of the younger people and we do lot of activities together like camping, bowling, and outreach.
During the church service, we have a separate Sabbath school class for the youth where we are currently studying the Cornerstone connection lesson book. In the past, we have studied Messages to Young people by Ellen White, Oil Crisis by Ivor Myers, and different books in the Bible. For the Divine Service, we have joint worship with the adults, so that the families can worship together.
One of the big activity we do annually is going camping once a year with the kids and some adults from church. In the past we have gone to Big sur and Santa Cruz mountains. This year we started an outreach activity as a group, visiting the elderly and sick in a local nursing home where we would visit with them, sing songs, and pray with them.
