NY Annual Winter Concert

On December 1, the 5 NY Korean SDA Churches held their annual winter concert. The five Korean churches:  Northern NY, Queens, NY Central, Staten Island and Westchester Korean, performed a variety of musical pieces, from vocal to instrumental. Performances from the young and old gave Glory to God and brought the members of the 5 churches together, as one family.

The annual concert is greatly anticipated by the churches, some practicing all year long, and participation is encouraged from the youngest member to the oldest. All talent is nurtured and involved in bringing a musical night of praise and worship.

Dinner was served by the host church, Queens Korean SDA. Then the concert was opened with a welcome by a dignitary from the Greater NY Conference. The Queens Korean Youth started the musical festivities with a heartfelt rendition of Without His Cross.
Then each church had 15 minutes to bring a variety of acts to the stage. This year for the 1st time, Boston Korean SDA Church joined the NY churches, driving 5 hours, to participate in the concert.

The concert allows each church to showcase their talent, but more importantly, it brings friends together in praising and worshiping God. As we come to the end of the year, it reminds us of our love for each other as family. Anticipating the beginning of the new year, we renew our faith and trust in God.
