The Rosemead Korean SDA Church - English Ministry is a small family-like church group.
Every Saturday the Sabbath School lesson study starts at 10:30am in the second floor sanctuary. Presently, we are going through the Truth Link bible study guides (truthlink.org), which cover the fundamental beliefs of the SDA church with God's Love as the central theme.
Main Worship starts at 11:45am, which begins with Praise followed by the sermon.
For VBS 2014, the theme was "The Word of God". Every day started and ended with a presentation taken from Young Disciple's Truth4Youth bible study series (www.youngdisciple.org/truth-4-youth.aspx). The kids learned scripture songs and by the end of the week had memorized 9 verses from Psalm 119 regarding "The Word of God". The days were also packed with fun outings such as trips to the aquarium, zoo, water park and John's Incredible Pizza where each child got to make their own pizza and also have a tour of the kitchen.
Church activities include hiking, going to the beach or park, gym nights, movie nights, game nights and just eating out and hanging out.
The goal for 2015 is to have monthly outreach projects.
Lastly, 2014 ended with a trip to Phoenix, AZ to attend GYC (gycweb.org). It was a great experience seeing so many young people seeking God and it was a good bonding experience for our church group as well.
