Sacramento Korean SDA Church is located in Orangevale, California, a quiet suburb north of downtown Sacramento.
The Korean church built a new sanctuary a few years ago, so the English Ministry group worships in the old building. There are around 100 members in the Korean group, and 40 members in the English Ministry, when everyone’s home from school. Most of the English members are collegiate who’ve stayed in the area, or young adults and young families who grew up in the area.
Some of Sacramento’s traditions are a Summer camping trip to Lake Tahoe, a Winter ski trip to a lodge in Tahoe (where we invite all of our friends!) and a Spring or Fall beach trip to Goat Rock, where we’ll be going this Sabbath!
We have regular events with the Northern California churches (like Napa, Mountain View, Central Valley, Pleasanton). We just had a golf tournament last week, and in October we have a sports day where we'll play badminton, soccer, and basketball.
We’ve always had a vibrant youth group over the years. Our former youth pastors have included Joel Shin and Jon Kim.
