From the early 80's, a small group of Korean Adventists gathered at a house for worship and fellowship. They knelt down in Prayer every day, that one day God will draw more souls into this area to learn about Jesus. They believed and promoted that Santa Maria is not just a good place to have Christian fellowship but also is the best place to live.

Weather here? You will not believe it. It doesn't go higher than 80, it doesn't go down less than 60, year round! (except for a few days due to global warming) It is very close to the beaches and people are nice. People began to move up to Santa Maria area from LA, SF, AZ, TX etc.

Finally, in 2009, we purchased a beautiful church building and earned a church status after many days of prayer and countless growth efforts. We are not here to reach out only for Koreans, we saw other people from different nationality take an interest in our church as well. Chinese and Japanese also want to worship with us. So we decided to become an Asian church. Now as a transition, we have Korean Traditional worship at 10 a.m. on Sabbath and English worship at 11 a.m.

This year, we will implement phase 2 temporarily, which is to have joint worship the first two Sabbaths, running in English, and then the next two Sabbaths in English with translation. This plan is made possible because of the Korean group's understanding and unconditional support in love. We are very excited to see how God will bless us in the future. Please pray for us as we continue to journey together to see great things stored for us by our God.
