WCKCM Day 2
The first full day at camp meeting and it was an early start for everyone. Morning devotion started at 7:30 and then they immediately broke into family groups after breakfast.
Morning service was combined worship with Dr. Carlton Byrd, Oakwood University Church Senior Pastor, translated by Pastor Enoch Lee. Dr. Byrd told us about the “Moonwalking” God that turned back the sun and gave Hezekiah’s life back, and how Hezekiah wasted his opportunity. Dr. Byrd made an alter call and the youth and adults responded to his call.
Afternoon for HS was organized by Paul Han and Caleb Yoo; a series of competitive games to form family bonding.
The evening message was given by Pastor Jonathan Henderson, senior pastor of Grand Advent Church. His picture of Jesus learning to walk, getting pimples and walking down the mountain to us - showed a God few of us know. Once the evening closed, Juniors took a hike up to Young Observatory and reflected on the Israelites’ isolation in the desert, their trust of God built through their long journey.
