Blue Mountain Academy Open Team: April 20 - May 4, 2014

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Volunteers will assist with several renovation projects on the campus of Blue Mountain Academy. Projects include replacing the roofs of several outbuildings, replacing the cafeteria windows, rebuilding the front wall and replacing roof overhangs of the cafeteria, installing a safety window in the Vice President's office, campus landscaping, and painting and decking in the dorms.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Blue Mountain Academy is a fully accredited Seventh-day Adventists boarding school for grades 9-12. Located at the foot of Pennsylvania’s Blue Mountain range, the school shares property with Kamp Keystone, a facility owned and operated by the Pennsylvania Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and used for camp meetings, camporees, and academy gatherings. The project will take place right before the academy’s alumni weekend, and visitors or alumni are welcome to stay for the programing. There is no participation fee for this project. Meals, accident insurance, and local housing (including RV space) are free in exchange for your volunteer labor. Participants are responsible for their own travel to the site. [Leadership: Betty Beattie and Roger Hatch]
